How many thin ice patches?

So the plan here is to move forward and write a note of how many thin ice patches we have stepped on to get the candy cane ornament. Easy!

How many thin & cracked ice patches?

Now, we need to get organized and keep track of the dangerous areas on this lake's surface! We need to move forward and count the dangerous patches of ice (thin and cracked), adding each one to the number of dangerous patches we have already stepped over. At the end, write a note of that number.

Which is more: the number of thin or cracked ice patches?

Alright, now we need to go fetch that candy cane. We need to be able to count the number of thin ice patches plus count the cracked ice patches we step on. Not only that! We need to print the thin ice patch color if the thin ice patches count is greater than the cracked ice patches. If we find the cracked ice patches are greater in number, then we need to print the cracked ice patch color.

Where is the green candy cane: on the left or right?

And we are still on the hunt for those hazardous areas! We need to go fetch that red candy cane and count the number of thin ice and cracked ice patches we step over. If we find more thin ice patches than the cracked ice patches, then we need to move right to collect the candy cane. Otherwise, If we find that the cracked ice patches are more than the thin ice patches, then we are going to move left to get that candy cane.

Let's draw another letter!

And as we have done before, when we reach the end of the adventure, we need to skate around to collect the last of the ornaments, while writing on the ice another letter to complete our Christmas wishes.
